EW 2: SPLM IO ambushed the commissioner of Morobo on a road inspection in Nyori boma Panyume

n 4 May 2025, Commissioner Charles Data Bullen of Morobo County, was ambushed on Sunday at around 10:00 AM while inspecting the road that connects Morobo to Kajokeji, assessing its safety and security to prepare and allow the displaced population to return to their homes following the recent clashes. The firing occurred when the convoy met with some Ugandan charcoal traders who were searching for their missing colleagues. The commissioner and the team narrowly escaped death before they repelled the attack, and he later cautioned the local forces to be vigilant against the remnants of the rebels who are still hiding in areas like Nyori, Kejiko East and Kendila.
