EW 2: NAS Abducted and looted civilians’ property in Awuru village-Lujule payam

On 14 May 2025, Armed men abducted ECS pastor, local chief, and others at 9:00 pm and looted property including five goats. The gunmen locked at least 10 civilians in a house before leaving the scene and demanded for church’s money. They released them on Friday morning, the 16/05/2025, after beating the chief and the pastor to a hospital level. The two (Pastor and Cheif) who were badly assaulted. This has created fear among the returnees and the residents of the area.
