Flood cut off Aweil West County
Incident Description
On 8 July 2025- Heavy rains resulted in flooding in Aweil West County highway, disrupting travel ahead of the independence celebrations scheduled on 9th July in Marialbaai NBGs Motorists are facing significant challenges in crossing the road from both directions. Public transport services have been halted, with many operators now stopping to transfer passengers to the other side of the flooded area.
