EW 2: Abduction of humanitarian staff in Mugwo Payam

19 May 202, Two people one (pregnant woman) staff of Rural for women development in South Sudan(RWDSS) were abducted in Mugwo payam Yei river county, they were going to do farmer’s assessment, all their phones and cash was confiscated and no physical harm but released on 20th May 2025 after payment of ransom of two million south Sudanese’s pounds the abductees and the abductors said they wanted the money to be paid by the organization and they pass warning for the Organization to stop moving along the road because they will still get them their reason for abducting is not known.
