
Bor (22 July 2025)-Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO) organized a three-day workshop. Under the project, WE Are Able and a consortium of partners, ZOA-Dorcas, VNG & Light for the World.
The workshop on the dissemination of the UNCRPD and the stakeholders’ coordination mechanism for its implementation of activities on disability inclusion in Livelihood, Food Security, Local Authorities, and food security and livelihood. Project activities are implemented in Bor and Juba as project locations. which focuses on empowering, amplifying Voices and creating resilience among people (including men, women and youth) with disabilities PWDs.
The workshop was kicked off by the advisor of Human Rights, Jongeli State. On his remark, he emphasized on the Disability Rights and Policy Implementation, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities, which was signed by the president and implemented.
He focused on the significance of disability rights and the implementation of relevant policies and conventions, specifically highlighting that the Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities has been signed by the president and is currently being implemented.
The advisor demonstrated on a structured approach with clearly defined next steps for participant engagement, fostering a collaborative environment. High levels of engagement and participation, he emphasized collaboration and support for disability rights, which contributed to a constructive atmosphere throughout.
