Director General Shot Dead in Western Equatoria

2nd August 2025, an unidentified gunman killed the Director General (DO) of the Ministry of General Education and instruction in Western Equatoria (WES), Peter Mbia was shot dead at his residence in the evening, around 7 pm at his home in Yambio. the murderers raided the house of the deceased and beat some family members.
