One Killed, Child Abducted in Jonglei Road Ambush

On 30 July 2025, A father was killed and his two sons abducted following a road ambush by armed assailants in Jonglei State’s Nyirol County. The incident involved several people in the community who were missing, including the deceased’s wife, along with two women who are missing, part of the ongoing violence impacting communities in Jonglei, which has been marred by intercommunal conflicts and instability. Authorities allege that armed youth from Greater Pibor administrative area (GPAA).
