UN patrol ambushed in Western Equatoria, weapons seized
Incident Description
On 3 Sept 2025, United Nations peacekeepers were ambushed by members of a local armed group while patrolling between the towns of Tambura and Mapuse. The assailants seized a small cache of weapons and ammunition before retreating. No injuries were reported.
