Passenger Boat Attack in Yirol East County, Lakes State

On 6 Oct, 2025-At least five passengers remain missing and two have been confirmed dead following a deadly attack on a passenger boat in Yirol East County, Lakes State, along the border with Jongle , The attack targeted civilians travelling between Bor and Panyijiar County, left survivors injured and created renewed fears about riverine travel in the region. The boat was carrying 78 passengers when it was ambushed by armed assailants suspected to be from Yirol East County.
