SIX DEAD AFTER GRAZING LAND DISPUTE ERUPTS IN LAKES STATE

On 30 January 2026-Six people have been confirmed dead following violent clashes over grazing land in Makuei cattle camp between the Alieb and Panyar communities in Amokpiny and Paloc payams of Rumbek East and Rumbek Central counties Lakes State, the conflict erupted between cattle-keeping communities competing for access to limited pasture resources during the ongoing dry season.
