CEPO Champions Human Rights in Juba Amid Repatriation of U.S. Deportees to Countries of Origin

A Mexican national, Mr. Jesús Muñoz Gutiérrez, was deported with seven other deportees from the United States to South Sudan on July 5th, 2025. On Saturday, September 6th, 2025, he was repatriated home Mexican.https://www.eyeradio.org/south-sudan-repatriates-mexican-national-deported-from-the-u-s/

CEPO is proud of the positive response to our advocacy and lobbying on protection and respect of human rights, as Human Rights Defender, CEPO took the stand to ensure that the 8 other deportees from the USA are protected and safe from any inhuman act in South Sudan. It was not easy from the day we began our advocacy, immediately upon the deportees’ arrival in Juba from Djibouti on July 5, 2025.

CEPO will continue to campaign and advocate for the return of the other 6 deportees to their countries of origin. The South Sudan deportee, Mr. Dian Peter Domach, among eight deportees, was the first to be released to his family members.
