Juba, 12th March, 2025— Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO) had the opportunity to meet with H.E. OYAMA Hiromoto, Deputy Head of Mission and Counsellor, together with TAKADA Kentaro, Second Secretary, Head of Political and General Affairs, and Mina Watanabe, Head of Economic and Cultural Affairs and Deputy Head of Political Affairs/Cooperation in the Embassy of Japan in Juba (South Sudan). CEPO considered the meeting remarkable and educative in relation to the history of human growth and society development in Japan.
Mr. Edmund Yakani, executive director of CEPO, stated that the history of Japan holds all of the relevant experiences and lessons for South Sudanese and their leaders for the developing society of South Sudan. Cepo acquired educative materials at the embassy and both elaborated on information sharing and called it fruitful discussions that foster positive learning for the benefit of the society in the near future between Japan and South Sudan.
CEPO Executive Director highly appreciated the support of the people and government of Japan to the people of South Sudan through the developmental initiatives executed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
