16 killed, 34 wounded in Tonj East violence

Between 12-13 Oct 2026-Retaliatory attack fellow after one member of the Akok Deng Achuil community was killed by unidentified armed men in Mader BOMA, at least 16 people were killed and 34 others wounded in intercommunal violence involving the Akok Deng Achuil and Thiik Majok Makom communities in Ngap Agok and Malual Chum payams in Tonj East County, Warrap State.
