9 killed as vehicle swept away by floodwaters in Kajo-Keji
Incident Description
On 25 March 2026, nine people, including eight women and a child, drowned when a vehicle carrying mourners, a Toyota Land Cruiser, was swept away by floodwaters in Kajo-Keji County. The convoy traveling from Juba to Bori Boma, when it attempted to cross the Lu’bajo bridge near the town’s airstrip, which had been submerged by heavy rainfall.
