EW 2: Yei Paramount Chief and ONAD Staff were abducted along Maridi Road in Yei

On 7th  July 2025- the Paramount Chief, Payam Director of Otogo Payam, and the staff of ONAD Were Abducted While going to Logo for a community dialogue, the Paramount Chief, Joseph Brown, and an undisclosed number of some local leaders in Yei River County, Central Equatoria State want missing after their abduction by armed forces on Maridi road in Yei. Taban Noel, who was abducted among the team and later released by the abductors, said his phones were confiscated before releasing him and his driver. “They [abductors] told them to come and tell authorities and those in Yei to go and release those missing.
