Violence at Bentiu IDP Camp Leaves 9 Dead, 29 Injured
Incident Description
20 August 2026- Violence erupted at Bentiu Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in the Unity State after authorities attempted to arrest a self-proclaimed prophet, who claims to be the re-embodiment of Ngundeng Bong. The violence claim live of 9 and 29 others wounded, when Security forces and the prophet’s followers exchange fire.
