EW 2: A 15-year-old boy was attacked by a gang in group in Kondeko area- Yei
On 4th May 2025, a 15-year-old boy whose elder brother was killed by a police officer in March was attacked by a gang. They stopped him and asked if he was the brother of the late? Yes, they started beating him, on the ground, unconscious.
EW 2: SPLA/IO killed SSPDF soldier kanja villiage, Girili Boma Gulubi Payam Morobo County
On 2 July 2025, a solider known as john Wol was killed in the same place ( Kanja village) where Munu was killed by the same SPLA/IO as he was selected with two others to provide security to a cigarette truck, they fell in IO ambush he was shot dead.
EW 2: SPLA/IO Kills Civilian in kanja villiage, Girili Boma Gulubi Payam
On 1 July 2025, John Bosco, commonly known as Munu, was traveling from Uganda to Yei when he reached Kanja village, Girili Boma of Gulubi Payam. There, he was attacked by the SPLA/IO, who tried to stop him, but he refused. Then they shot him, and he died at the spot.
EW 2: Police officer killed by NAS in Logamere boma, Mugwo payam
On 17th June 2025- A police general was picked at night by the NAS rebels from his house in Mugwo and his family members were locked in one room, and they took him close to the main road going to Morobo and then shot him. The reason for the killing was not known.
SPLA-IO arrested for theft in Leer County by police

EW 2: Government Soldier Killed a 17-year-old boy in Minyori Boma
On 2 Mar 2025, A 17-year-old boy was going for a funeral overnight at Hai TTC area of Minyori Boma Yei town Before he could reach the funeral, a soldier who was hiding in a banana plantation ran after him and shot him dead. The perpetrator didn’t disclose the reason for killing the boy.
