CEPO Conducts Civic and Voter Education Workshop in Ruweng Administrative Area

Ruweng Administrative Area, South Sudan – 3 August 2026-The Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO), with support from the European Union, commenced a three-day Civic and Voter Education Workshop in Ruweng Administrative Area to prepare local communities for the forthcoming December 2026 elections.

The workshop brought together community members and key local stakeholders to strengthen understanding of civic participation, voter rights and responsibilities, and the importance of peaceful and informed engagement in the electoral process.

Participants actively engaged in discussions and learning sessions aimed at promoting inclusive participation, responsible citizenship, and peaceful elections. The workshop also provided an opportunity for communities to raise concerns and discuss ways of contributing to a credible and peaceful electoral process.

The three-day initiative reflects CEPO’s continued commitment to strengthening civic awareness and community participation in South Sudan’s democratic processes, with support from the European Union.
